Futher Development
Late in 2008 further fundraising took place and applications made to Awards for All, Community Foundation, NHS, West Lancs District Council and Global Renewables. In total the monies raised from all funders totalled £14201.43. This allowed for the Log cabin to be purchased, furnished and services installed, a portable toilet, flagging, fuel, equipment and tool hire.
The cabin has given the site a focal point, somewhere to shelter and warm foods and drinks. This along with the toilet block benefits members allowing longer stays on site.
The tools have made for easier cultivation of the land aiding members keep on top of the plots and grow more successfully.
